Frequently Asked Questions

When is the concert on the main stage?
The main stage concert begins at 5 pm on Saturday, August 5th.

Can we put up a canopy tent or umbrella?
Yes, but ONLY in the designated area, next to the treeline.  Anyone putting up an umbrella in the general seating area will be asked to either take it down or move to the designated area.

Is there anything on the stage during the day?
There will also be worship with Hayden Bradley from Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago (Vertical Church) on the main stage from 3:30 – 4:30 pm and a pre-show party at 4:30 pm.

Why do we have to pay to get close to the stage?
We are dedicated to offering free concerts, but it can get quite expensive to run without looking for other sources of income.  The FanZone is one opportunity to offset the cost of the event, and it gives those who purchase tickets a chance to meet the artists.

Will the artists be doing autographs after the show?
How can I meet the artists?

Zealand Worship and Jasmine Murray will be at their table after their performance to sign autographs and take pictures with you.  Danny Gokey and Big Daddy Weave will not be doing autographs.  They are doing a special Meet & Greet before the performance, which you need FanZone or VIP seating tickets in order to attend.

Will food vendors be on-site?
We will have many different food vendors on-site all day so you can eat.  A proceed of sales goes back to the Rock the Lake event.  However, if you are on a tight budget, you can bring your own food, coolers and drinks.  Please follow the State Park rules on beverage containers.

Is seating provided?
Please plan to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on for the concert.  You can also purchase tickets for the VIP Seating and not worry about bringing a chair; we will provide it for you!

What time does Danny Gokey perform?
Here is a tentative schedule (it may change):
5:00 pm Jasmine Murray
5:45 pm  Zealand Worship
7:00 pm  Danny Gokey
8:30 pm  Big Daddy Weave

Are there activities for kids?
We are on a public beach, so plenty of swimming and sand fun!  We also have a KidsZone open to kids from 11 am to 4:30 pm.  Parents are asked to attend this area with their kids.

Is there handicapped parking close to the concert?
The main parking is in the field located just over the bridge, but if you have a handicap identification, you will be directed to the asphalt lot by the beach.  For those who need assistance getting to the venue due to physical limitations, you can park in the grass lot and catch a ride on our golf cart shuttle.

Is there motorcycle parking?
Motorcycle parking is in a designated area in the asphalt lot by the beach.

Do children need a ticket to the VIP or Fan zone?
Everyone 5 and up need a ticket for FanZone and must be accompanied by an adult until the age of 12.
VIP Seating:  If they are 5 or under and can sit on your lap, they don’t have to pay.  However, if they are over 5 and/or sit in a seat, they must pay.
